Role/Concept, Graphic Design

As part of a student collaboration, Our course was invited to design poster concepts for the DJV (German Journalists Association) to promote the Hessen Young Journalists’ Day 2024. This is the largest media event for students and trainees in the Rhein-Main region, offering hands-on career insights, networking, and over 100 expert talks on topics like digital storytelling and mobile journalism. I developed several visual concepts reflecting the dynamic and modern spirit of the event. After careful consideration and feedback, I selected the strongest design to finalize and present.

Goal

The Hessen Young Journalists' Day draws students and trainees who are actively choosing a direction — it needed a visual identity that matched that energy without feeling institutional.

Solution

Several concepts were developed and tested against the event's core values: dynamism, relevance, accessibility. The final design was selected based on how well it held up across formats and how clearly it spoke to a young, media-literate audience. The result is a visual that feels current without chasing trends — grounded in the event's substance rather than its excitement.

Let's work together
