Monuments of Sound is an immersive spatial installation exploring the connection between sound, touch, and artificial intelligence. Developed as a concept for AMG in collaboration with SYZYGY, the project invites visitors to experience sound physically through vibrating tubes that emit diverse audio textures — from urban noise to engine sounds. At the center, an interactive touchscreen allows users to compose their own sonic journey and generate a personalised visual output. The space’s futuristic, tech-driven design reflects the innovation of electric mobility and offers two scalable versions for different exhibition formats.

Goal

The brief called for something that could make electric mobility feel experiential rather than informational. The challenge was moving beyond screens and spec sheets to create a space where visitors could physically encounter the idea of sound as material — without the concept feeling like a tech demo.

Solution

Vibrating tubes translate audio textures — city sounds, engine frequencies, ambient noise — into something felt as much as heard. A central touchscreen lets visitors compose their own sequence and take away a generated visual output, giving the experience a personal throughline. Two scalable versions were developed to fit different exhibition footprints, keeping the concept viable beyond a single context.
